Whole injector cup cracked on a Series 60 yesterday

Removing the old one took 4 hours with a broken extractor. What's your go-to trick for getting those stuck cups out without trashing the head?

The whole stuck cup thing reminds me of how people treat rusted bolts on farm equipment. They'll soak it in PB Blaster for a day and still break the bolt off instead of heating the area first. Heat expands the metal around the cup just enough to break the grip. For Series 60s, a good map gas torch around the outside for 5-7 minutes usually does it. Then a slide hammer with a cup puller adapter pops them right out. Tried the chisel method once and ended up gouging the head surface. Never again.

The first time I fought one of those cups I was dead set against using heat, but after watching a buddy pop one out in ten minutes with a torch I changed my tune completely. @jasonf35 is right about map gas and a slide hammer being the way to go.
