Appreciation post: A digital artist I follow posted a timelapse of a piece that took them 40 hours
They said the final piece looked 'simple,' which made me realize how much invisible work goes into a clean, finished look. Anyone else get caught up thinking a piece should come together faster?

That 40 hour timelapse is a gut check. Makes you respect every clean line you see online.

Forty hours for something that looks simple is the kind of math that hurts my brain. Park.miles is right, it really does make you look at every polished piece online differently. You start to see all the tiny choices and redrawn layers hiding under the surface. It's a good reminder that easy on the eyes almost never means easy to make.
