Found a better way to export layered PSDs for my portfolio site
I was exporting every piece as a full PNG at 4000px and my page took like 9 seconds to load. Switched to WebP with a max width of 1600px and kept the layer previews as small thumbnails. Load time dropped to under 2 seconds and the colors still look sharp on my 27 inch monitor. Anyone else using WebP over PNG for their galleries or am I missing a better format?

WebP cut my load time in half too, its the move for portfolios.
