Found a brush stroke trick that fixed my muddy colors
I was working on a forest scene for a client last week and the greens just kept turning into a brown mess. No amount of layer blending modes was helping. Then I tried something random - I switched my brush to a hard round with 0% opacity flow and built up the colors in tiny passes. Three hours of frustration gone in like 10 minutes. The dark areas stayed dark without smearing into the light ones. Has anyone else had luck with low flow settings for color separation?

Yeah @dylan_brown30 it sounds weird but it makes a huge difference, the low flow lets you layer without the brush pulling up the wet paint underneath.
