Pro tip: Turned off my screen to see my brush strokes better
I was messing with my tablet pen pressure and accidentally hit the monitor power button. Drawing blind for 30 seconds gave me a way cleaner line than staring at the screen because I focused on the actual hand movement instead. Anyone else tried something weird like that?

Kinda genius actually, muscle memory takes over when you overthink it.

Huh, I actually think there's a flip side to this that nobody's talking about. Muscle memory works great when you've practiced something a thousand times the right way. But if you've drilled bad habits into your brain, that same muscle memory is just gonna make you screw up faster and more consistently. I've seen it happen in sports, music, even driving. Overthinking can actually be a good thing sometimes because it forces you to slow down and question whether what you're doing automatically is actually correct. Once you fix the flaws, then you let muscle memory take over. But skipping that step means you're just getting really good at being wrong.

Nah, muscle memory's fine but it can't fix bad technique.
