Rant: My drawing tablet driver crashed right as I finished a 12-hour piece

It happened yesterday and I lost the last two hours of work because the auto-save was off. Anyone have a reliable driver brand that doesn't freak out during big projects?

How many things in life are built to fail right at the finish line? It's not just tech, it's like printers jamming on the last page of a big report or a grocery bag tearing in the parking lot. We set up all these systems expecting them to work, but they're designed to handle the easy middle part, not the critical end. That's why I save after every single change now, no matter what.

Switch to Wacom drivers, they're the only ones I've never had crash mid-save. Set your software to auto-save every five minutes regardless of the brand. The heartbreak of lost work isn't worth trusting any software's default settings.

Ugh, the five minute auto-save is a lifesaver. I set mine to three after a crash wiped an hour's work. Kaigibson is right, it always fails at the worst moment. I don't trust any default settings anymore.
