Spent 4 hours trying to fix a color profile mismatch in my art showcase
I uploaded a new digital piece to my portfolio site last week and the colors looked totally washed out compared to my Photoshop file. First I thought it was my monitor calibration, so I reset that. Then I checked the export settings three times. Turns out my browser was ignoring the embedded sRGB profile and I had to convert the file manually. Has anyone else dealt with browser color shifts wrecking their showcase uploads?

Wait, you had to manually convert the file? That's such a pain. I feel your pain on this one, I spent a whole afternoon once trying to figure out why my gradients looked totally muddy in Chrome.

Have you checked how your hosting platform handles color profiles? Some site builders strip out the embedded data on upload so it doesn't slow loading times. That killed my last series of prints until I found the setting. Also make sure your canvas is set to sRGB from the start not Adobe RGB. Photoshop defaults to ProPhoto RGB sometimes and that messes everything up. Export as PNG not JPEG if you want to keep more color data intact. The whole color space thing is a nightmare for digital artists honestly.

Wait, Photoshop defaults to ProPhoto RGB sometimes without warning? That's insane, I just assumed everyone was using sRGB from the jump like me.
