Vent: Spent $150 on a tablet stand and it was totally worth it

I finally caved and bought a Parblo adjustable stand for my drawing tablet after using a stack of books for like 2 years. The thing cost me $150 at a shop in Austin and my wrist hasn't hurt once since I got it 3 weeks ago. Has anyone else dropped money on ergo gear that actually paid off?

I did the same thing with a vertical mouse after my elbow started hurting and never looked back.

Oh man, I tried a vertical mouse once and my wrist felt great but my brain felt like it was glitching every time I had to click something. I swear it took me a full week to stop reaching for the mouse like it was a normal one and just knocking it over. My coworker saw me struggling and asked if I was trying to communicate with the computer through interpretive dance. Eventually I caved and got one of those trackballs instead, which is honestly just another way to look ridiculous while trying to scroll.

Wait, has anyone else tried those contoured keyboard pads? My roommate @ward.kim swore by hers after she dropped like 80 bucks on one. She said it fixed her typing pain but she kept accidentally hitting the spacebar with her palm and sending gibberish messages for the first few days.
