Visited a local gallery crawl last Friday and the digital art display was a mess.

I went to this art walk downtown and one booth had 3 iPads showing looping animations, but they were all out of sync and the screens were covered in fingerprints. The artist next to them had one single 4K display with proper framing and it looked 10 times better. Why do people set up digital art with zero attention to the actual viewing environment? Has anyone else seen good digital work ruined by bad display choices?

Ask the artist who set up the iPads if they actually tested how the lighting and viewing angles worked in that space. I mean, a lot of times people just plug things in without walking around and seeing it from a few feet away. Did you notice if any of the other digital setups had the same kind of lazy presentation?

The setup definitely matters, but those iPads were probably just cheap displays the artist could afford. Not everyone can drop a grand on a nice monitor.

Exactly, a cheap setup makes the whole thing look slapped together and amateur.
