Visited the new interactive art wall at the Denver library and the color blending was incredible.
What's the best digital brush pack you've found for getting those smooth, layered color transitions in your own work?

Try the Kyle Webster watercolor brushes in Procreate.

Kyle Webster's brushes are fine, but they're a bit overrated for watercolor work. The blending never feels quite right to me, it's too digital and clean. I've had better luck just making my own basic wet brush and tweaking the settings, dylan_brown30. It takes a minute to set up, but you get more control over how the paint acts. The premade packs can make everything look a bit samey after a while.

Saw a video last week where an artist said those brushes work best if you layer them over a textured paper scan. They basically just act like fancy smudge tools on a flat color without that grit underneath. I messed around with that method and it does help a bit with the fake clean look Olivia mentioned. Still feels like you're fighting the app to get a real bleed sometimes though.
