Got into it with a mod on r/askhistory over a deleted comment about 1960s protests
Posted a link to a Library of Congress photo showing anti-war demonstrators being arrested, and they removed it saying it was 'unverified historical content'. I messaged them asking what part was unverified and they just muted me from contacting the mod team for 30 days. Anyone else have mods shut down discussion with zero explanation like that?

Mods have way too much power with zero accountability. 30 day mute for asking a basic question is pure petty gatekeeping. Reddit's whole structure lets them play judge and executioner on a whim.

Three mods on different subs did the same thing to me last month, it's like they're allergic to actual discussion now.
