I used to think the big platforms should just delete all the hate speech, no questions asked.

For years, I figured if a post was mean or nasty, just zap it. It seemed simple. Then I saw a local news story from my town about a guy who posted a video of a city council meeting, pointing out what he thought was a bad policy. His video got taken down for 'harassment' because he named the council member. The policy was actually a real problem, but the debate got silenced. That made me stop and think. Now I see it's a tough choice between stopping real harm and letting people call out bad stuff, even if it's blunt. The guy's video was back up after a week, but the news cycle was over. Has anyone else seen a case where a takedown clearly hurt more than it helped?

So who gets to decide what's a real problem versus harassment?

You're asking who gets to decide, but isn't it obvious when someone just won't leave you alone?

What changed your mind about where to draw that line?
