My old blog post got unblocked after a 7 month appeal process
I wrote a piece last year about a local protest in Austin, using photos I took myself. The platform flagged it for 'unverified content' and took it down. I was sure it was gone for good, honestly. I filed an appeal anyway and just kept checking the status every few weeks. Got the notice yesterday that it was restored, no changes needed. It's a tiny win, but it feels big after waiting that long. Has anyone else had success with a long appeal like that, or is it usually a lost cause?

What did you say in the appeal that finally worked?

Honestly that's huge, congrats. The waiting is the worst part. My friend had a recipe blog post taken down for a weird copyright claim on a photo of her own pie. She just kept sending the original photo file date in her appeals. Took almost a year but it came back. Makes you wonder what finally gets a real person to look at it.

Yeah, "what finally gets a real person to look at it" is the real mystery. I picture it like a dusty office where your appeal file just slides to the bottom of a pile until someone needs a paperweight for their fan.
