Appreciation post: My park bench office in Chiang Mai changed everything

When I got to Thailand, I couldn't get my work hours right. Cafes were always packed and loud. Then I found this little park close to where I stay. It has free Wi-Fi and these cool stone benches under shade trees. Now I go there every morning when the sun comes up. The quiet and fresh air let me think clear. I wrapped up a whole client report ahead of time last week. I also met a nice local who brings his dog by, and we talk sometimes. Having this spot just sorted out my whole work day here.

Finding a solid outdoor spot really locks in a work routine when you're traveling. Scouting parks or quiet courtyards with wifi first thing is my go-to move now. It beats dealing with cafe chaos for sure.

Outdoor work changes everything. Crowded cafes are full of noise and people moving around, which breaks my focus. In a park, the background sounds are calming, like birds and wind, not chaotic. I get more done because there are fewer things to pull my attention away. Plus, being outside just feels better than stuck in a loud coffee shop. It turns travel from a hassle into a chance to work in a nice place.

Since when did cafes become louder than playgrounds?
