DAE find it hard to explain the nomad life to grandparents?

My parents think I'm just on a long vacation and keep wondering when I'll get a steady job. What's your way of dealing with family who don't understand?

Ever tried showing them your bank deposits as proof of work? My folks finally got it when they saw regular money coming in from different states.

Have you tried showing them your work setup or schedule? I had to sit with my family and break down how I earn money from my laptop. Sharing simple things like video calls with clients or where I pay bills from helped a lot. They might never fully get it, but seeing the routine makes it more real than just calling it a trip. Keep it simple and repeat the basics when they ask.

Read an article that said showing physical proof of work helps bridge the understanding gap. It pointed out that older generations often connect jobs to a place, not just a screen. Your advice to keep repeating the basics lines up perfectly with that.

Yeah, that part about showing them your schedule is key. I just started sending my mom screenshots of my calendar to prove it's real work.
