Found out my 'unlimited' coworking plan in Chiang Mai actually caps at 8 hours a day... in the fine print

I was so EXCITED when I found this place called Punspace on Nimman. Paid $150 for the monthly unlimited pass. First week I'm there grinding away for 10-11 hours easy. Then on day 8 the front desk lady tells me I'm at my limit. I'm like what limit? She points to this tiny paragraph on the signup page that says 'unlimited daily access within 8 hour window.' So basically it's NOT unlimited at all. Has anyone else run into fake 'unlimited' plans at coworking spots? What's the point of calling it unlimited if it's got a cap?

Saw a similar complaint about a Bali coworking spot that capped at 6 hours.

Right there with you, that sounds frustrating. Six hours isn't enough for most people's actual workdays. Seems like a weird rule that really limits what you can get done.

That 6-hour cap at the Bali coworking spot @karencampbell mentioned makes me think this is becoming a trend in certain places. In my experience, a full workday usually takes me closer to 8 or 9 hours when you factor in breaks and the inevitable distractions. I can see why a coworking space might do it to keep things efficient for everyone, but it would drive me crazy if I had a tight deadline. Maybe they do it to stop people from camping out all day, but six hours feels too restrictive unless you're just answering emails.
