Hot take: Bangkok's alley cats are wrecking my work flow.

I set up my laptop at a street-side spot for some fresh air. These cats keep tripping over the power cables and disconnecting my internet. How do you handle unpredictable distractions in public work spaces?

Honestly, Oliver's right about the spot you picked being the main issue. Tbh, I've had the same thing happen with those cats and my laptop cable. What works for me is using a shorter power cord and wrapping it tight around a table leg so it's off the ground. Ngl, sometimes you just have to scout for a seat where the cats don't usually walk through. Moving your stuff even a little bit away from their path makes a huge difference.

How many times have those cats actually cut your internet today?

Life's full of little chaos you can't plan for.

I mean, "wrecking my work flow" feels a bit strong. Those cats are just living their life, you know? @michael_green44 has a point asking how many times it really happens. Maybe it's just me, but I kinda see them as part of the package when you work outside there. The real problem might be the spot you picked, not the cats. I'd just find a table where my stuff isn't in their walking path, or tape the cables down.
