My move to Asia strained my bond with my siblings big time
People say working from anywhere helps family bonds, but I don't see it. Skipping holidays and birthdays is hard, lol.

Nah, it's fine once you get used to it. Holidays and birthdays often come with too much pressure to spend money and act happy. Like last year, I saved over $500 by not buying gifts or traveling for Christmas. Now I use that time and cash for things I actually enjoy, like a quiet weekend or a hobby project.

But what happens when you get used to missing the good stuff too? You save cash, but you might lose the real reasons you even have a family. That quiet weekend gets pretty loud when you're all alone.
