My portable monitor gave out mid-presentation in a Bangkok cafe yesterday

I was pitching a freelance client over Zoom and the screen just went black. Turns out the power cable shorted from all the humidity here. Anyone have a rugged monitor brand that handles tropical climates?

I had the exact same thing happen with a cheap portable monitor I picked up on Amazon last year in Saigon. I ended up getting the UPERFECT 15.6 inch model, it's got this aluminum shell that seems to handle the moisture better, plus the USB-C power cable is reinforced. Been using it here in Manila for six months without any issues, even in AC drips from the window unit.

yeah I thought aluminum cases were just for looks but you might be onto something with that moisture thing
