PSA: The 'work from anywhere' visa in Bali isn't as simple as the ads say
I watched three people in a Canggu coworking space get turned away at immigration after their 60-day 'digital nomad' visa expired, because they thought it automatically renewed (it doesn't, you have to leave the country). This was after they'd signed 6-month apartment leases, which just created a huge mess. How do you guys handle long-term stays in places with tricky visa rules?

Always hire a local visa agent to sort it out.

My friend tried to DIY a Thailand visa and got rejected last year. The local agent we found in Bangkok had it fixed in two days for a small fee. It's just not worth the stress to handle it yourself.

The real problem is how random the rejections can be. I've seen two people submit identical paperwork and get totally different results. That's why paying for an agent is basically buying consistency.
