Hang on, everyones acting like this is some kind of life changing miracle. I mean, spending $300 on a local sim in Bangkok sounds pretty high to me, but if it saved you a whole months work then maybe its worth it? Idk, $300 is still a lot of money. But @aaron854, you said people defending phone companies is impossible, but maybe this person just got lucky with a setup that worked for them. Its not like every phone company is out to get you, sometimes you just need the right plan for where you're at.

Seriously? That's a whole phone bill.

My phone bill last month was $92, and that was just for me and my mom on the same plan. I saw a charge for $15 in international fees because my sister called me from Canada for ten minutes. You're totally right, @faith_shah88, it feels like they just make up numbers sometimes. I had to call and argue for twenty minutes just to get that one fee taken off.

Man, I used to defend phone companies but stuff like this makes it impossible. Arguing over a ten minute call is just ridiculous.
