I mean, spending $300 on a local sim in Bangkok sounds pretty high to me, but if it saved you a whole months work then maybe its worth it? Idk, $300 is still a lot of money. But @aaron854, you said people defending phone companies is impossible, but maybe this person just got lucky with a setup that worked for them. Its not like every phone company is out to get you, sometimes you just need the right plan for where you're at.
