Chose a dashcam without audio recording - dumbest thing I did last month
I was deciding between two dashcams after my neighbor's car got keyed in the parking lot. One had audio recording and one didn't, and I picked the cheaper one to save $30. Fast forward to last Tuesday, some guy on my street nearly backed into me and started yelling that I cut him off. Now I've got the video but no audio to prove he was screaming at me first, so it's basically useless for any real dispute. Has anyone else bought a privacy-focused option and regretted losing a useful feature?

Wait, did you at least try pulling audio from the vibrations?

Did your buddy actually recover anything useful from a glass pane once?

Pretty sure that's not on the dashcam then. You could still argue the video shows you didn't hit him, and his yelling is just noise in the background anyway. Maybe you should just focus on getting the footage to the cops or insurance if something actually happened. Honestly, nobody's gonna sit there and listen to a screaming match to decide fault. The audio would just make you look petty for recording it. Save the $30 and move on.
