DuckDuckGo vs Google: I switched for a month and the difference was scary
I finally got sick of Google tracking EVERYTHING I do online. So last month I switched to DuckDuckGo on both my phone and laptop. At first it felt weird not getting those creepy targeted ads, but after 3 weeks I realized how much data Google was hoarding. I looked up one thing about a weird cough and suddenly got ads for cold medicine for 2 days straight. With DuckDuckGo I just get search results, no tracking, no profiles. The privacy upgrade is way better than I expected, but the search results are sometimes weaker. Has anyone else noticed Google results are just getting worse compared to the privacy trade-off?
Respect that preference for sure. Google's search results just feel cleaner and more direct to me too. Do you ever try Bing just for the rewards points?
