Got outed at a coffee shop for using a burner phone
I was sitting at Blue Bottle in Brooklyn last Tuesday sipping a latte and this guy next to me leans over and goes 'nice burner, are you a drug dealer or just paranoid?' He said it loud enough that the barista heard and gave me this look. I laughed it off but now I feel weird bringing my cheap prepaid Nokia anywhere public. Has your burner ever gotten you side-eyed in a weird spot?

That guy had no business calling you out like that. People need to mind their own damn business, a burner phone doesn't mean you're doing anything shady. I use a cheap flip phone sometimes just to avoid distractions, but now I'd think twice about pulling it out in a crowded shop. Honestly though, the barista probably forgot about you five minutes later. Just use your phone and ignore the haters.

@finleyl39 has a point but honestly that guy was probably just trying to make conversation and failed miserably.
