My neighbor's Ring doorbell caught me talking to myself about privacy concerns

Last Tuesday I was ranting about data brokers to my cat on the porch and realized that camera was streaming my whole paranoid monologue straight to Amazon's servers, has anyone else had a smart home gadget expose your own digital privacy fears to the world?

Kinda feels like the universe giving you a taste of your own medicine though. That Ring doorbell didn't make you paranoid, it just caught you being paranoid on camera.

Wait, so you're saying getting filmed acting all sneaky and paranoid is some kind of karmic payback for having the camera in the first place?

Oh come on, that's a stretch! A doorbell camera is just a regular security tool, not some moral trap waiting to snap shut on you. Getting filmed being weird doesn't retroactively prove you deserved it for installing the thing in the first place.
