Why does nobody talk about how many apps track your clipboard

I was messing with my phone settings last week and found out over 50 apps on my phone had accessed my clipboard in the past month. Found that stat in a privacy report from some security blog. Has anyone else checked theirs and been creeped out by the number?

Used to roll my eyes at people worried about this stuff but after seeing my own clipboard history I'm fully converted lol. That's some next level creepiness right there.

Wow, I gotta say I'm still not totally sold on this being a huge deal... I mean, what are they even gonna do with your clipboard data, send you more ads for roofing supplies? Back when I started my company we used a literal paper clipboard and nobody cared what was on it, feels like we're making mountains out of molehills here. Unless you're copying passwords or bank info all day I really don't see the practical harm, you know?

Haha I was the exact same way man. I used to think people were just paranoid until I actually looked at what was being stored from my phone. It had links I copied from a work email about a client's property address, a tracking number for a package, even a snippet from a text conversation with my wife about dinner plans. It's just way too much private stuff that nobody asked to see. Honestly it creeps me out more knowing they probably don't even have a good reason for it, they just collect it because they can. I'm glad you looked into it and changed your mind too.
