Why does nobody talk about how useless those $50 expediting services are for disability appeals?
I dropped $50 on a QuickApp service to fast-track my reconsideration and all they did was submit the exact same paperwork I already had, so has anyone actually gotten real results from paying for a service like that?

Yeah those services are basically a scam. Paid one once and they literally just mailed the same forms in a different envelope. They don't do anything you can't do yourself for free - just call your local SSA office and bug them directly. That $50 buys you a lot of coffee while you wait on hold. Save your money.

Honestly @murray.cora that part about them just mailing the same forms in a different envelope is exactly what I figured happens. Like what do they actually do that's worth paying for? Do they have some secret shortcut to skip the hold times or something? I've seen ads claiming they get your application "prioritized" but that sounds like straight up BS to me. Have you ever heard of anyone actually getting faster service because of one of those companies?
