Hot take: I used to clown on freeze-dried tattoo ink until I tried it on a buddy last month

I always thought freeze-dried ink was just a gimmick for people who wanted to feel fancy, but a friend brought over a vial of it for a stick-and-poke session and the color saturation was way better than my usual bottled stuff. No extra powder or mixing weirdness either. Has anyone else had a brand switch that changed their mind on something?
