Last week the sump pump in my bunker failed after a heavy rain

Came down to check on things Wednesday morning and found three inches of water on the floor. Took me six hours with a wet vac and a shop fan to dry it out. Anybody else had a pump go out on them mid storm?

Yeah, that's rough. Same thing happened to mine last spring. Total nightmare.

Three grand for a new transmission on my old Honda Civic two years ago. I still feel that pain in my wallet every time I think about it. jamief67 knows the drill though - these things always happen at the worst possible time, like right after you spent money on something else important. The mechanic even said it was "a textbook failure" which somehow made it worse, like my car was a perfect student at failing.

and honestly "textbook failure" would've sent me over the edge lol. my old ford focus just started making this weird grinding noise one day out of nowhere, no warning lights or anything. mechanic was like "yep that's the death rattle" and i just stood there like okay cool thanks for the poetry i guess
