Finally got the right tool for my bathroom tile job
Spent $45 on a manual tile cutter from the hardware store. My old one was junk, kept chipping everything. This new one made clean cuts on the first try. Saved me hours of messing with a wet saw. Whole bathroom floor is done now. Anyone have a good grout brand they like?

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy's kitchen reno. He fought with a cheap tile cutter for a whole weekend, made a huge dusty mess and cracked half his tiles. He finally broke down and bought a proper one like yours. The difference was night and day. He said it felt like cutting butter, and he finished the backsplash in one afternoon.

My old cutter wasted three tiles before I got a decent wet saw.

But is a cheap cutter really that bad? I used one for a floor once and it was fine, just a bit slow.

I used to think cheap cutters were fine too honestly. I bought a $20 one for a small backsplash and it worked okay for the straight cuts but any time I had to do a narrow rip it would just snap the tile wrong. That was a mess. Your $45 one sounds like a good sweet spot because it's not crazy expensive but actually works. I bet that floor turned out clean with no chipped edges.
