I rebuilt my deck with composite instead of pressure treated wood

After three summers of splinters and staining I finally put in Trex and now I just hose it off whenever it gets dirty, has anyone else made the switch and found it worth the extra cost?

My neighbor used Hidden Creek boards and they're holding up better than Trex after 5 years.

OH MAN I feel this SO HARD. I did the same thing two years ago and now I just sit there with a beer watching the rain wash everything off like some kind of lawn chair king. The ONLY downside is now I catch myself judging every wood deck I see like some kind of deck snob. "Oh you have to sand that thing? Pathetic.

Hold up though - Hidden Creek isn't actually a separate brand. It's just a color line from Trex. I only know because I almost made the same mistake when I was buying my deck. Got all the way to the checkout before the guy at the lumber yard set me straight. The color matters for fading but the core material is the same.
