Pro tip: A vertical herb garden freed up my counter space...
I hung some pots on a repurposed ladder. Anyone have tips for indoor plant lighting?

That ladder idea is cool, but idk if anyone mentioned the light drop-off. Maybe it's just me, but the top plants on my set-up block the light for the ones below. I ended up putting my brighter light at the middle height and just slowly turning the whole ladder every few days so everything gets a turn.

Sounds like your plants get a workout too.

Ever try rotating the whole ladder every few days? Works way better than messing with a bunch of lights.

Actually, my friend Jen ran into the same thing with her ladder setup. She had a bunch of succulents on the top rung shading the ferns below, and they started to look really sad. Kinda like what @christopher_foster89 said, she ended up getting a couple of those cheap clamp lights from the hardware store. She attached them at different angles on the middle rungs, and now everything gets enough light without turning the whole ladder.
