Swapped my standard drywall screws for the ones with the deeper Phillips head

Saw a guy on a jobsite using the GRK type screws and laughed at him for spending more. Then I put 150 of them in without a single strip or cam-out and realized I've been making things harder for myself for 20 years. Anyone else finally make a simple fastener swap that changed how you work?

Right? I had the same exact moment with deck screws after stripping a dozen cheap ones in a row and finally bought the good stuff. It's like everything just clicks into place and you wonder why you put up with the frustration for so long.

Screws are screws, it's really not that serious.

Started laughing at the fancy screws too until I grabbed a box on a whim... now I won't buy anything else. It's one of those little upgrades that just makes the whole job feel smoother. Really hits different when you're putting up board after board and the bit just locks in every time. I had the same moment of realizing I was fighting my tools for way too long.
