Warning: I thought those peel-and-stick backsplash tiles were a total scam until I put up a 10-square-foot section in my rental kitchen in under an hour.

My landlord said no permanent changes, but these things held strong for over a year through steam and splatters, and I just peeled them off clean with zero damage when I moved out last month, so has anyone else found a temporary fix that actually worked that well?

Remember trying to hide a hole in my apartment wall from a doorknob. Got one of those sticky felt pads for furniture feet, cut it to shape, and stuck it right over the dent. Honestly looked like a weird texture choice, but it passed the inspection. Landlord never said a word, and it peeled right off when I left. Sometimes the dumbest fixes work the best.

Landlords should be handing these out with the keys lol.

Right? That would actually be TOO helpful.

Try it on a popcorn ceiling first.
