Blew out my ankle monitor budget on a broken window sensor

I was at Home Depot last Wednesday picking up supplies for a new rehab workshop idea and a cheap window alarm fell off the shelf and cracked. The $20 sensor I had rigged up for tracking inmate compliance died on me mid-shift, and now I'm stuck wondering if anyone's hacked a Wyze cam into a ankle monitor system without voiding the contract.

@drewr15's right. People underestimate how much small failures cascade into bigger problems.

Wyze cams aren't gonna work for ankle monitors since they use different radio frequencies and need constant server contact. You're better off just grabbing another cheap sensor from Amazon and calling it a day.

Wait, @drewr15, is this actually a thing people try? I feel like someone would either just call the monitoring company or take the L on the cheap sensor, not try to rig a whole camera setup.
