Compared spray adhesive versus good old wheat paste for paper signs on cardboard, and the wheat paste held up way better after three days of light rain in Portland.

The spray adhesive started peeling at the edges by hour two, but the wheat paste just got a little damp and dried solid again has anyone else had better luck with one or the other for signs that need to last through weather?

Well, "light rain in Portland" is a bit like saying "mild heat in the Sahara.

Good point, lol. Living in Portland basically means you sign a contract for nine months of drizzle and two months of actual summer. It's honestly draining sometimes, you just want a solid sunny day to recharge. Hope you're staying dry and sane out there.

My buddy tried the spray adhesive for some posters he put up in Seattle last fall and said they were basically confetti by day two. He switched to wheat paste for the same spots and those signs outlasted three straight weeks of that annoying misty rain they get. The wheat paste never fully dried out but it stayed stuck like a champ while the spray stuff just gave up immediately. He swears by wheat paste now for anything that needs to survive the Pacific Northwest.
