That cheap $10 sharpie set from the dollar store faded in 2 hours flat at a noon rally
I was out at the Capitol steps last week and my sign went from bright orange to pale pink before the first speaker finished. The sun cooked the ink right off the poster board. Spend the extra $6 on paint markers, seriously. Anyone else get burned by cheap supplies right when it matters most?

Didn't you know cheap sharpies are just fancy washable markers for the sun to play with? Mine turned into a sad pastel mess before I even got my sign taped to a stick. At least now I carry a backup roll of duct tape and some of those fat paint sticks that survive anything.

Nah I've had cheap sharpies hold up fine in direct sun for hours, maybe you got a bad batch.
