Am I the only one who thinks aiming by signal meter is overrated?
Last Saturday I was out in my backyard in Phoenix trying to lock onto Galaxy 19, spent 45 minutes tweaking my DIY dish with a cheap meter, got nothing, finally just eyeballed it against a neighbor's roof and pulled in a crystal clear 122 on the bird in under 2 minutes, so has anyone else found better luck with dead reckoning over those finicky gadgets?

Honestly, the cheap meters are more trouble than they're worth, just line it up by eye like the old days.

Ha, my "by eye" method usually ends up with my plants looking like theyre doing the limbo

@nancyg14 I've used those cheap meters too, lining it up by eye works better most times.
