Guy at a bus stop showed me his 'phone charger' that was actually a livestream rig

Saw this dude at Union Station in Chicago last Tuesday. He had a power bank taped to his chest with a pinhole lens poking through his shirt button. He bragged about streaming his girlfriend's therapy sessions to a private server. That level of access freaked me out. Anyone else run into DIY trackers that look too innocent?

I was just reading about those "hidden camera detector" apps that supposedly find pinhole lenses by scanning for radio frequencies. A guy on Reddit tested them and found most are just scams that flash a red light. But this bus stop thing is a whole other level. I think about those people who wear body cameras and go live on certain sites without anyone knowing. It's scary how easy it is to turn something normal like a power bank into a spying tool.

That stuff about power banks being turned into spy tools really gets me. I actually bought one of those detector apps last year and felt like a complete idiot when I realized it was just flashing a red LED light at me the whole time. It's wild how these companies prey on people's fear, especially when the real threat is just someone hiding a tiny camera in something you'd never think to check.

Yeah, that whole thing is messed up. Can't trust anything these days.

Honestly, I bet @the_max is right but not for the reasons most people think.
