My homemade keylogger died after 3 days because I used the wrong SD card class

I built this little USB keylogger to monitor my own computer activity for a week, just to see where I waste time. Used a Class 4 SD card from an old camera and it corrupted on day 3, lost everything. Turns out cheap storage can't handle constant tiny writes, you need at least a Class 10 or a dedicated endurance card. Anyone else have gear fail because they skimped on a dumb part like that?

Is losing a few days of productivity data really that big of a deal though? I mean you only lost 3 days of "research" into your own browsing habits lol.

Honestly, it's not just about the data itself, it's about breaking the streak and the motivation that comes with tracking. Once you lose that momentum it's way harder to pick it back up again, even if it was just a few days of "research." Ngl, a lot of people give up entirely after a small setback like that, so it can be a bigger deal than it looks.

Ha, I once lost my gym streak for a week and never went back.
