Hit 50 hidden camera builds this week without even realizing it

Started counting my old builds when I was cleaning out the garage and got to 52 before I lost track - never thought I'd have that many gadgets sitting around collecting dust, has anyone else lost count of their own projects?

Stockpiling projects as trophies" - yep, I've got a drawer full of half-finished Arduino stuff I'll never touch again.

52 builds collecting dust" man that hits home. I feel like we live in this weird time where everyone's constantly making stuff just to prove they can, but then it just sits there. It's like the act of building becomes more important than actually using the thing. I notice this same pattern with people buying tools or cameras too. They'll buy a 3d printer or a soldering station, print one benchy or fix one wire, and then that stuff just turns into clutter. We get so caught up in the hobby that we forget half of what we make isn't something we actually needed. It's like we're all just stockpiling projects as trophies for our own brains.

Is it just me or does this apply to EVERYTHING now? I see people hoarding workout gear because they bought it with some plan to get fit, and then it just turns into a expensive clothes rack. @shane_park92 that drawer thing is REAL, I've got a box of Raspberry Pi stuff that was supposed to be a smart home hub two years ago. It's like we're all just collecting potential versions of ourselves, stuff that represents who we COULD be if we actually followed through. The whole point gets lost somewhere between the inspiration and the execution, and we end up with a bunch of props for a life we never live.
