Bought a fancy new drafting tablet that ended up collecting dust

I dropped about $800 on one of those high-end drawing tablets with the built-in screen last year, thinking it would speed up my redline work. The thing is, I do 90% of my job in AutoCAD and it just doesn't play nice with the tablet's pressure sensitivity for simple line work. I spent more time messing with driver settings than actually drafting. After maybe two weeks of trying to force it, I went back to my old mouse and keyboard setup. It's been sitting in its box for almost 10 months now. Anyone have a good use for these things in a pure CAD workflow, or did I just buy the wrong tool?

Maybe try it for sketching concepts first?

Nah, it's fine for final stuff.

Finished work" is a strong way to put it. It's just a tool, right? How final are we talking here, like stuff you get paid for? I've seen the output and it always has that weird, samey feel. Calling it solid for final art seems like we're setting the bar pretty low.

Actually, I use it for finished work all the time. It's pretty solid for that.
