DAE get thrown off by a weird title block setup from a new client?
I was working on a set of foundation plans for a builder in Tacoma last Tuesday, and their title block had the scale listed in the notes area instead of the usual spot. It took me a good ten minutes to find it because I was looking in the border. I had to call their project manager, who said, 'Oh yeah, our old drafter always put it there, force of habit.' Just threw my whole checking routine off. Anyone else run into a client with a title block quirk that messed with your flow?

Had a client from Boise who put the revision date in tiny font inside the north arrow symbol. Spent half an hour looking for it before I gave up and called them. Their CAD guy just laughed and said "yeah, gets everyone.

That's actually a pretty clever way to hide revision info. It forces you to check the whole sheet, not just a corner. Saves space and makes sure people look at the drawing.

Sounds like a lot of work just to prove a point, doesn't it?
