My old plotter just ate a $500 sheet of Mylar right before a deadline
It was the final plot for a big city permit set, and the feed rollers jammed halfway through, creasing the entire thing. I had to redraw three sheets by hand overnight to make the morning drop off. Anyone have a good trick for keeping those older HP plotters from doing that?

Try cleaning the rollers with rubbing alcohol.

Ever have a machine just decide it hates you on the worst possible day? My old laser printer once started spitting out every single page with this weird, greasy black smear for a huge print job. Turns out a stray french fry from my lunch bag had somehow gotten into the paper tray and was melting on the drum. The smell was almost as bad as the ruined prints.

Clean the feed rollers with alcohol every time you change the roll, keeps them from getting grabby. @caseyf32 might be onto something with weird fixes, but that one actually works. Lost a sheet myself that way once, never again.
