Wait, is it just menu drafts or the actual printed menus too? I feel like the bigger issue is when the final menu goes out without the labels... that's when people get in real trouble. @the_terry's buddy with the food truck probably had it on his final board, not just a draft. The rules have been this way for a while, they're just enforcing them more now... which, honestly, is fair if it keeps someone from a scary reaction.

Cracking down is right... my buddy's food truck got hit with a huge fine last month for not listing sesame oil.

Spot this all the time now. From cafe menus to packaged snacks, everything needs a full ingredient list. My local bakery had to reprint all their labels because they forgot to mention nuts. It feels like the rules are getting tighter, but I guess it's for safety. Still, it's tough on small businesses when the fines are so high.
