Spent $40 on a pair of ergonomic drafting triangles and my wrist pain vanished in two days
I figured the cheap plastic ones from the supply closet were fine until a three-week rush job on a commercial build had me reaching for ice packs every night, so I grabbed a set of these fancy triangles with the raised edges and a softer grip, and now I'm actually looking forward to the next big deadline has anyone else found a simple tool change that made that much difference?

My buddy swapped out his cheap T-square for a weighted one and stopped complaining about his wrist within a week.

Funny you mention drafting triangles, I had almost the exact same thing happen with my parallel bar setup. Picked up a rigid straightedge that had a bit of weight to it and a textured surface for like $30 after fighting with a flimsy plastic one for years. The difference was insane - no more hand cramps after a couple hours of linework, and my lines actually stayed straight because the thing didn't flex. Sometimes the cheap stuff is just not worth the headache, especially when you're putting in those long hours. Glad your wrist is feeling better, those little ergonomic upgrades can be game changers.

Wait, hold on. $30? For a rigid straightedge with some weight and a textured surface? I had to read that twice because I paid almost triple that for mine (you know, from one of those fancy art supply stores downtown) and it wasn't even textured. That's wild. Where did you find that deal? I've been telling people to just bite the bullet and spend the money, but if there's a decent option for that cheap, I need to know about it. It's honestly frustrating how much they mark this stuff up sometimes.
