An old timer told me to stop running my cutterhead at max RPM all the time

I always thought full throttle meant more production. He pointed out I was just stirring up fines and wearing teeth faster. Dropped to 75% RPM and my material output went up 15% in two weeks. Anyone else get taught the hard way that running slower actually works better?

@shanef34 probably right but full throttle is how you find out what breaks first.

Yeah but 75% might not be the sweet spot for every machine either.
