I was checking out the old dredge site at Lakeview Quarry and the sediment buildup on the north wall made me rethink my whole cut pattern.

@the_brian was the undercut deep enough to trigger that wall cave-in or was it more gradual?

Totally get what you mean. I had the same thing happen last fall when we were working a gravel bar on the river. Saw how the water had undercut one whole section overnight and had to scrap my entire plan for the day. Makes you feel like you're starting from zero sometimes.

Wait, the whole section went overnight? That's crazy fast. I've seen banks get eaten away over a season, but not in one night. Makes you wonder what the riverbed looks like under there. Starting from zero is right, that's a full day's work gone before you even get your boots wet.
