Hot take: I finally gave up on using a 4-inch knife for taping corners
For years I thought a 4-inch was the right tool for inside corners, but I kept getting ridges that needed extra sanding. A guy on a crew in Tampa showed me his 6-inch knife, said he could do a whole corner in two passes. I tried it on a job last month and cut my corner time by about a third, no joke. The extra width just bridges the angle better on the first coat. Anyone else switch up their corner knife size and see a real difference?

I spent a decade fighting with that stupid 4-inch knife like it was a personal enemy. The switch to a 6-inch felt like cheating on a test, but hey, if it works it works. I mean, my shoulders are way less sore now, so I guess the Tampa guy was onto something.

That Tampa guy just saved @logan561 years of shoulder pain.

Saw a whole thread about knife length and shoulder strain, makes sense now.
