Swear I'm not crazy, but I think old fuse boxes get a bad rap
Had a house with original fuses that passed inspection fine. People act like you must swap them out, but if they work, why fix what isn't broken?

Remember my grandma's fridge from the 70s that finally quit last year. Sometimes the old stuff is built to last way longer than the new junk they sell now. Makes you wonder what else we replace too quickly.

Oh, I know! Regular upkeep can stretch the life of almost anything.

Consider the hidden costs of keeping old things running. Newer models often use less energy and need fewer repairs. Isn't it better to upgrade when the savings add up?

Yeah but have you priced out a new fridge lately? @clairetaylor is right about upkeep, a simple fix can buy you years. Sometimes the math just doesn't add up for an upgrade.
